Hiii! My name is Jayde and I'm a 26 year old from Tempe, Arizona!
My love for candles started when I was young! Growing up, my mom always had some sort of candle burning and I was always amazed by the sweet smell of vanilla lingering through every room in our house. My interest to create candles came about when I was 20 years old living in my first apartment, I really took pride in my place smelling great when I had friends over but over time I really started to notice how great a candle would be the first burn and by the second or third it would really weaken or upset my allergies! Little did I know that these issues would spark a fire inside of me to create a beautifully scented candle that would burn consistently without upsetting my allergies! Two weeks into moving into my apartment I lost my job due to covid and had nothing but time, a dream, and a love for candles. The very night my job closed down I stayed up researching the ins and outs of candle making until the sun came up and I did it again every night for the next few weeks. I learned a TON! I had no clue how harmful our favorite *mass produced big brand* candles were and you should know too! I spent weeks testing out multiple wax blends, a number of fragrance brands, different types of wicks and new techniques to make the perfect, signature candle for my home. Through lots of trial and error I finally created a candle that I was truly happy with.
Did I ever think I would be selling candles and making a business out of it? NO! I was working as a sushi chef and wanted to go to school to be an esthetician... But on June 16th, 2020 Flickmywickk Candles was born. I look back at this now and I can't believe how many experiences, friendships and opportunities this crazy journey has brought me on throughout my twenties! I couldn't be more thankful.

I spend hours each week at thrift stores and antique shops around the valley to source all of my containers to create a unique and one of a kind candle experience. (This excludes my 4oz tin candles)
